Why This Guide Has No Price List
If you have searched for โoil press machine priceโ, you have probably noticed that manufacturers almost never publish a fixed price table. There is a simple reason: no two presses leave the factory with the same final cost. A buyer pressing sesame in India and a buyer pressing coconut in the Philippines may order the same model, but the tabung press, motor voltage, included accessories, and shipping destination all change what they pay. A public price list would be wrong for one of them โ or for both.
This guide explains exactly what drives the price of a hydraulic oil press, so you can understand a supplierโs quote, compare offers on equal terms, and plan your budget around real variables rather than guesses. At the end we list what information to send so you receive a precise, apples-to-apples quotation.
What Drives the Price of an Oil Press Machine
Five factors account for nearly all of the difference between quotes.
1. Capacity and tabung press configuration. A single-barrel machine and a double-barrel machine of the same model differ in price, because the second tabung press doubles the throughput while the operator unloads and reloads one side. Larger tabung press (diameter and height) hold more seed per batch and cost more to machine and reinforce.
2. Pressing pressure class. Standard presses run at roughly 27-30 MPa cake surface pressure. Hard-shell and cold-press applications require 42 MPa or more, which means thicker tabung press, stronger alloy-steel cylinders, and higher-rated hydraulic pumps. The extra steel and heat treatment are real costs, not a marketing label.
3. Included equipment and configuration. The press alone is one price; a complete line (seed cleaner, roaster or steamer, filter press, oil tank, cake handling) is another. Buyers who price the press in isolation often discover later that a roaster or filter they did not budget for is essential to reach the quoted output.
4. Electrical and customization. Motors are wound to your local grid standard (for example 415V/50Hz, 380V/50Hz, 220V single-phase) and this is usually free on a standard model. Custom tabung press sizes, food-grade stainless steel contact surfaces for coconut/VCO, double-barrel frames, and operator platforms add cost.
5. Shipping and delivery terms. FOB Qingdao covers delivery to the port of loading. CIF or DAP terms add sea freight, marine insurance, and sometimes import duty and inland transport. The same machine quoted FOB and CIF to different ports will show a visibly different bottom line.
The Total Landed Cost Equation
The machine price is only part of the budget. A realistic landed-cost budget has five components:
- Equipment cost โ the press and any auxiliary equipment included in your order.
- Sea freight and insurance โ depends on container type (one 20-foot or 40-foot HQ) and destination port.
- Import duty and taxes โ varies by HS code and destination country; confirm your local customs classification.
- Port and clearance fees โ port handling, customs declaration, inspection, and inland transport from port to site.
- Installation and first run โ in most cases a Haonuo engineer guides installation and commissioning by video call at no extra cost; on-site technician visits are available on request.
A supplier who quotes only the FOB machine price is not quoting your total cost. Always ask for the full landed breakdown.
Budget Framing by Project Size
Rather than asking โhow much is a pressโ, frame the question around what you plan to produce each day.
- Startup / small mill (500โ1,500 kg seed per day): one single-barrel press, a seed cleaner, a roaster or steamer, and a filter press. This is the configuration that matches the HN325 range.
- Commercial medium (1,500โ3,000 kg per day): a higher-force double-barrel press (HN365 or HN426 class) so one tabung press presses while the other is refilled, plus matched roaster and filtration.
- Industrial / multi-product (3,000 kg+ per day): one or more HN500-class double-barrel presses, automated feed and cake handling, and often a small refining line for packaged retail oil.
Each tierโs equipment list is fixed; the price follows from it. Telling us your daily seed target lets us size the line in one step.
Why Same-Tonnage Presses Are Not the Same Price
A 325-ton press from two suppliers is not interchangeable. Four build-quality differences explain the price gap:
A. Hydraulic cylinder โ 27SiMn alloy steel. Built with 27SiMn alloy steel, the cylinder holds its strength and toughness under 60โ75 MPa (2,200 psi+). Every cylinder is machined, heat-treated, and pressure-tested before assembly. A cylinder machined from ordinary carbon steel costs less but will not survive years of daily high-pressure cycling.
B. Press tabung press โ Q690 high-strength steel. Welded from Q690 steel with seamless flange rings, ground and electroplated to prevent rust. Slotted drainage delivers roughly 15ร the oil flow of drilled tabung press โ faster oil flow, higher yield. Cheaper tabung press use drilled drainage and thinner steel; the difference shows up in both output rate and tabung press life.
C. Base frame โ Q355B structural steel. A 30 mm plate on the HN426 and 50 mm on the HN500. Thick Q355B steel means the frame will not deform under years of ultra-high-pressure cycling (tested beyond 500 tons). A lighter frame flexes under load, misaligns the cylinder and tabung press, and accelerates seal wear.
D. Motors & valves โ pure copper ยท solenoid. A 6-pole pure-copper 2.2 kW motor runs quietly and stays cool under continuous use. Rust-proof electroplated valves with enlarged oil ports give faster flow, fewer leaks, and smooth shock-free cycling. Motors wound with aluminium or thin copper, and valves with small ports, cut the invoice price but raise operating temperature and failure rate.
A lower upfront price that swaps these components is not a discount; it is a different, lower-duty machine.
Thinking in Returns, Not Just Price
The price of the machine matters less than the price of the oil it produces. Each of our seed solution pages includes a worked example of what 100 kg of raw material returns in oil and cake, so you can estimate daily revenue against your local selling price. A buyer who knows their seed cost and oil price can calculate payback in a few minutes โ and that number is what decides whether a given press is cheap or expensive.
If you have seed cost, oil selling price, and a daily output target, send them with your inquiry and we will return the daily margin and estimated payback alongside the quote.
What to Include in Your RFQ
To receive an accurate, comparable quote, include:
- Seed type(s) and planned hot- vs cold-press split
- Daily seed target in kilograms
- Preferred voltage and phase (e.g. 415V / 50Hz / 3-phase)
- Destination country and nearest port (for freight and duty estimates)
- Whether you need only the press or a full line (cleaning, roasting, filtration, refining)
- Any special requirements (food-grade stainless, cold-press VCO, halal line, mobile configuration)
A complete RFQ returns a precise quote and a line layout in one exchange, avoiding the back-and-forth that delays most first orders.
