Oilseed Pre-Press for Oil Mill Pretreatment: Description

Overview

The HN-CG60 oilseed pre-press is a screw expeller installed at the front of an oil line, before roasting and hydraulic pressing. It crushes the seed and rolls it into flakes or a rough cake, cracking the oil cells and enlarging the heated surface area. Around 35–40% of the oil is released in this first pass, and the pre-pressed material then moves on to roasting and the main hydraulic press. Mills that add this stage typically see their total oil yield rise by 3–5%.

This two-stage layout — screw pre-press followed by hydraulic finishing — is the standard setup for mustard, rapeseed and groundnut in India, Southeast Asia and Africa. The machine arrives fully assembled, needs no specialist installation, and one worker operates it.

Key Advantages

  • Higher total yield — removes 35–40% of the oil before the main press, raising overall plant output by 3–5%
  • Two throughput options — 7.5 kW for about 500 kg/h, or 11 kW for about 750 kg/h
  • Compact footprint — 1030 × 1000 × 750 mm frame, roughly 1 m² and 174 kg, fits into an existing line
  • Adjustable flake thickness — the discharge cone sets the gap, so output matches your pressing recipe
  • Low energy and low wear — direct mechanical drive with hardened wearing parts runs quietly and lasts long
  • Ready to run — ships fully assembled and tested; connect power and it starts

Structure & Build

Seeds enter the hopper and are pushed by the screw through the pressing chamber, where they are crushed, rubbed and pressed into flakes. A discharge cone at the outlet sets the gap, giving control over flake thickness and the tightness of the pre-press. The whole line — motor, pressing chamber and hopper — sits on one compact steel frame, and drive runs through belts and pulleys to cushion shock loads and keep servicing cheap.

Applications & Suitable Materials

The HN-CG60 works across many oilseeds by adjusting the cone gap:

  • Rapeseed & mustard — the classic two-stage lines of India, Southeast Asia and Africa
  • Groundnut — high-oil kernel where the first pass captures most of the free oil
  • Soybean, flaxseed, sesame, walnut, sunflower, cotton seed — all handled by gap adjustment

Why Choose Our Oil Press Equipment

  • Factory-direct pricing — competitive pre-press equipment straight from the manufacturer
  • Proven two-stage design — widely used for mustard, rapeseed and groundnut lines
  • Quick lead time — standard models leave the factory within 7–15 days
  • Full support — English manual, video guidance, spare parts and optional overseas installation

Oilseed Pre-Press for Oil Mill Pretreatment — Frequently Asked Questions

What does the HN-CG60 oilseed pre-press do?
The HN-CG60 is a screw expeller placed before the roasting and hydraulic pressing stages. It crushes and roll-presses the seed, releasing roughly 35–40% of the oil in a first pass, so the downstream hydraulic press finishes faster and the plant's overall oil yield rises by 3–5%.
What is the capacity of the HN-CG60?
The standard 7.5 kW version processes about 500 kg/h; an optional 11 kW version handles around 750 kg/h. Both run on 380V (other voltages available on request).
Which seeds can it process?
Rapeseed, mustard, groundnut, soybean, flaxseed, Sichuan pepper seed, sesame, walnut, peanut, sunflower seed and cotton seed. The discharge-cone gap is adjusted by material — tighten for small seeds, loosen for larger kernels.
How much space does it need?
The machine sits on a compact steel frame about 1 m² (1030 × 1000 × 750 mm) and weighs 174 kg, so it slots into an existing line with no building work and can be moved with a forklift.
Is installation complicated?
No. It ships fully assembled and tested — position it, connect power, and it runs. One worker operates it, and a 7–15 day production lead time is standard.
How is the equipment shipped?
The equipment is shipped in a wooden crate via sea freight from Qingdao port. Delivery to most Asian ports takes 15-20 days, to African ports 25-35 days, in addition to the 7-15 day production lead time.
Do you provide installation support?
Yes. We provide an English operation manual, online video guidance and spare-part support. Our engineers are available for overseas installation on request.
What warranty do you provide?
We provide a 1-year warranty covering all manufacturing defects, plus lifetime technical support. Spare parts are available from stock.
