Cold Pressed Oil Machine — Premium Cold Press, Also Runs Hot
Professional cold pressed oil machine (cold press oil machine) for premium oil below 60°C — coconut VCO, sesame, walnut and more. The same cold press oil extraction machine also runs hot pressing. Factory-direct from Haonuo, 1-year warranty.
What is cold press oil extraction?
Cold pressing extracts oil from raw, dried, unroasted seeds using mechanical pressure alone — no external heat and no chemical solvents. On a hydraulic press, static pressure pushes the oil temperature to roughly below 60°C, because there is no screw friction heating the material.
The oil keeps its natural vitamins, antioxidants, color and fresh-seed flavor, and is sold unrefined after simple filtration — VCO, cold-pressed sesame, walnut, flaxseed and avocado oil are typical products.
Trade-off, stated honestly: cold pressing usually yields a few percent less oil than roasting first, takes a longer cycle, and only pays back when your market pays the premium. Each barrel still processes a full up to 100 kg of seed per batch — this is commercial production, not a household appliance.
Cold pressing — quick facts
- Oil temperature
- below 60°C
- Seed condition
- raw & dried, unroasted
- Batch capacity
- up to 100 kg / barrel
- Cold cycle
- up to ~2 h per batch
- Method
- mechanical only, no chemicals
- Result
- unrefined, ready to filter
Temperature and cycle vary by seed, moisture and cake settings. Hot pressing on the same machine runs 30–40 min with pre-roasted seed.
Nutrients & natural flavor kept
Below 60°C, sensitive fatty acids, antioxidants and the seed's original aroma largely survive — the basis of the premium grade.
Premium market price
Cold-pressed, unrefined oils typically command roughly 30–80% more than refined oils in markets that recognize the grade (varies strongly by country).
No chemical refining
Mechanical extraction plus natural filtration — no hexane, no neutralization line, simpler compliance for food and cosmetic buyers.
One machine, cold AND hot pressing
A Haonuo hydraulic press is not locked into cold pressing only. The same machine runs cold press (raw seed, below 60°C) for premium oil and hot press (roasted/steamed seed) for higher yield — you switch by how you prepare the seed, not by buying another machine.
This is the key advantage of static hydraulic pressure: there is no friction heating from a screw, so oil temperature is governed by your seed preparation. Produce premium cold-pressed oil today and bulk hot-pressed oil tomorrow on the same equipment. For hot pressing, pair the press with a separate roaster or steamer — the press itself has no built-in heater.
Is cold pressing more profitable?
Cold pressing usually gives 5–8% lower oil yield than hot pressing, but the oil sells at a premium. Whether it pays off depends on your market, oil type and the price gap you can actually achieve.
When cold press wins
- Premium / organic / cosmetic markets (VCO, walnut, argan, sesame).
- Where cold-pressed oil commands a clear, bankable price premium over refined oil.
- When the premium per liter exceeds the value of the extra hot-press yield — that margin gap, not batch size, is the deciding factor.
When hot press makes sense
- Bulk cooking oil where volume and low cost matter most.
- High-volume continuous supply to distributors or refineries.
- Seeds where pre-roasting materially increases yield and your market does not pay a cold-press premium.
Which cold press machine for your seed?
In cold pressing, material hardness decides the machine: the harder the seed or nut, the higher the cake pressure needed. Every Haonuo hydraulic press cold-presses — pick the pressure class that matches your material.
All four models run cold press natively — choose pressure by your seed hardness.
Soft oil seeds
Sesame · peanut · sunflower · rapeseed · soybean
325–365 tons · standard cake pressure
Cold-pressed sesame and peanut oil sell strongly in Middle Eastern and Asian markets. The HN325 is the entry best seller; the HN365 adds a double station for all-day batches.
Medium-hard seeds & tree nuts
Walnut · almond · camellia / tea seed · flaxseed · perilla · apricot kernel · pumpkin seed
500–600 tons · 42–48 MPa cake pressure
This is where cold press earns its margin — delicate, high-value oils. 42 MPa+ cake pressure breaks hard cells without heat, keeping omega-3 and flavor intact.
Hard, in-shell & fibrous materials
Copra for VCO · in-shell walnut · tiger nut · shea · yellowhorn · hemp
620 tons · up to 75 MPa
The hardest materials need the highest force in the range. HN500 extracts maximum oil in fewer passes — including nuts pressed in shell.

How Cold Press Extraction Works
Prepare Seeds
Clean, dry, and optionally dehull the oil seeds. Proper preparation ensures maximum oil yield and clean, sediment-free oil output.
Cold Press at Low Temperature
Hydraulic pressure extracts oil below 60°C. The intense mechanical pressure does the work — no heating or chemicals needed. Nutrients and flavor stay intact.
Filter & Package
Natural sediment filtration, no chemical processing needed. The result is pure, premium cold-pressed oil ready for bottling and market.
