HN325 Materials
| Part | Material & finish |
|---|---|
| Hydraulic cylinder | 27SiMn alloy steel (GB/T 3077), Ø325 mm, pressure-tested |
| Press barrel | Q690 high-strength steel, nickel-plated inside & out |
| Motor & valves | Pure-copper motor, rust-proof electroplated valve block |
| Base frame | Q355B structural steel |
Every cylinder is machined, heat-treated and pressure-tested before assembly. The barrel interior and oil outlet are nickel-plated — no bare carbon steel touches the oil.
How Much Can It Press Per Day?
Daily Output (8-h shift)
| Setup | Hot press | Cold press |
|---|---|---|
| Single barrel | ~900–1,000 kg | ~300–400 kg |
| Double barrel | ~1,200–1,400 kg | ~600–700 kg |
Estimated from cycle times at full 100 kg batches — not a guaranteed capacity; actual output depends on seed, staff rhythm and preparation. Fluffy materials fill the barrel below 100 kg, so plan proportionally lower. In the double-barrel setup, one barrel presses while the other is unloaded and refilled — output nearly doubles.
Batch Cycle Time
| Hot pressing | 30–40 min press + 10–15 min loading & cake removal |
| Cold pressing | ~2 h press + loading & cake removal |
Power & Installation
Runs on a standard 380V / 50Hz supply. 415V custom builds available on request — for example for Nigeria and other West African grids; tell us your local standard when requesting a quote. No special foundation needed.

HN325 or HN365? Up to ~1 ton of hot-pressed seed per day, the double-barrel HN325 covers it. Beyond that, the HN365’s independent stations cut waiting time — send us your seed and daily target for a throughput calculation.
Best Oilseeds for the Standard Hydraulic Oil Press
Common oilseeds suited to the HN325 include sesame, peanut, walnut, camellia (tea) seed, flaxseed, rapeseed, sunflower seed and soybean — covering most oil-bearing crops. Reference yields:
Yield by Seed (hot pressing unless noted)
| Seed | Yield | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Peanut | 42–52% | Rich aroma, golden oil |
| Sesame | 42–52% | Roast & press direct |
| Sunflower seed | 40–50% | Clean, crush, roast |
| Flaxseed | 35–40% | Hot or cold |
| Rapeseed | 30–40% | High-yield, fragrant |
| Tea seed | 15–35% | Clear color, pure aroma |
| Soybean | 12–18% | Hot or cold |
| Walnut | 55–65% cold | Crush raw, press cold |
| Castor seed | 40–60% | Hot pressing |
| Palm fruit | 20–25% (fresh fruit bunch) | Small-batch hot pressing — confirm your process with us |
| Coconut | 30–40% cold | Stainless barrel option |
Figures are gross oil yield per 100 kg of prepared raw material (cleaned, crushed/roasted before pressing), from factory tests and production records. Actual yield varies with variety, moisture, temperature and preparation. Not on the list, or unsure about your material? Ask us for a material test — send us a sample.
Every Seed Needs a Different Line
| Seed | Typical line |
|---|---|
| Sesame | Drum roaster → HN325, press direct |
| Peanut | Crusher → roaster → HN325 |
| Soybean (hot) | Pre-press machine → steam cooker → HN325 |
| Walnut (cold) | Crusher → HN325, no roasting |

Walnut and apricot kernel press well on the HN325 in cold process; for a dedicated hard-shell cold-press business, the HN426 adds force and pressure. Need a sesame-specific or stainless barrel? See the HN325 Sesame configuration or the coconut-oil hydraulic press.
Setting Up a Complete HN325 Pressing Line
A typical line around the HN325: seed cleaner & sorter → roaster (sets the aroma) → crusher & steamer (where needed) → the HN325 → oil filter press (filters solids out of the crude oil for clear, sellable oil). Frequently Asked Questions
How does a hydraulic oil press machine work?
The HN325 uses a hydraulic cylinder to press seed inside an enclosed tabung press. Cleaned, conditioned (and usually roasted) seed is loaded in batches of 20–100 kg; the 325-ton ram applies static pressure for 30–40 minutes (hot) or about 2 hours (cold), squeezing oil through the tabung press's slot walls. Static pressing adds no friction heat, so raw dried seed stays naturally below 60°C.
How much oil can I press per day?
With hot pressing and full 100 kg batches: roughly 900–1,000 kg per 8-hour shift with a single tabung press, or 1,200–1,400 kg with the double-barrel setup (one tabung press presses while the other is unloaded and refilled). Cold pressing runs slower: about 300–400 kg (single) or 600–700 kg (double). These are estimates from cycle times, not guarantees. Smaller 20–50 kg batches work the same way — handy for testing or niche seeds.
What seeds can it press?
Common oilseeds include sesame, peanut, walnut, camellia (tea) seed, flaxseed, rapeseed, sunflower seed and soybean, among most other oil-bearing crops. Walnut and apricot kernel press well in cold process; for a dedicated hard-shell cold-press business, see the higher-force HN426.
What materials are the cylinder and tabung press made of?
The hydraulic cylinder is machined from 27SiMn alloy steel (GB/T 3077) — the standard steel for high-pressure cylinders — heat-treated and pressure-tested before assembly. The press tabung press is welded from Q690 high-strength steel and nickel-plated inside and out, so no bare carbon steel touches the oil; its strip-slotted walls release oil faster than drilled tabung press. The base frame is Q355B structural steel and the valve block is electroplated for rust protection.
HN325 or HN365 — which should I choose?
Up to about a ton of hot-pressed seed per day, the double-barrel HN325 is enough. The HN365 (365 t, higher cake pressure) adds force and cuts waiting time between cycles for larger volumes. Send us your seed type and daily target for a throughput calculation.
My budget is tight — is the older HN300 enough?
The HN300 remains in production and shares the hydraulic design and common wear parts with the HN325. Two differences: 300 t force (vs 325 t) and a smaller Ø300 mm tabung press (same 800 mm height), which raises cake pressure to about 42 MPa but holds a smaller batch — about 55–60 kg of crushed seed. Smaller daily batches on a tight budget: HN300. Full 100 kg batches: HN325.
What power supply does it need?
The HN325 is wired for 380V / 50Hz as standard. If your country runs on 415V (common in Nigeria and other West African grids), order the 415V version — tell us your local standard when requesting a quote.
What are the payment and shipping terms?
Payment: 30% deposit with your order, 70% balance before shipment. Shipping: quoted FOB by default (CIF to your port on request), by sea. After the 15–25 working day build time, ocean transit typically adds about 4–6 weeks to West African ports depending on destination and schedule. Full shipping documents are provided with every shipment.
Can I get a stainless steel or custom tabung press?
Yes — tabung press diameter (300–630 mm), height and food-grade stainless steel are available as custom options. Custom configurations take 30–45 days to build; standard ones 15–25 working days.
